Instructors

Antonio Gummels Sensei (Nidan, 2nd Dan) (left) is the Founder and main Instructor of the "Wago No Michi" dojo on Sint Maarten. Gummels Sensei is also an accomplished and certified Physical Therapist and personal trainer.

I started aikido in 1991 after having seen Steven Seagal in Nico (Above the Law) since 1989. After a brief search for a good teacher I started my aikido journey with Aad Thijs sensei in Rotterdam, Holland. I moved to Sint Maarten in 1996  for my job.

Anthony Chong, (Sandan, 3rd Dan) moved to St. Maarten/St. Martin in July of 2005. He used to work at the MPC (Milton Pieters College) as a Biology teacher.
Lived in Holland for 8 years (Since 1997) moved to Sint Maarten. Started my training on Curaçao (Netherlands Antilles) at the Aikido Curaçao with Frank Wong Loi Sing Sensei in 1991. I was attracted to Aikido after seeing the movies "Above the Law" and "Hard to Kill" starring Steven Seagal. Since then I've been training with several Aikido teachers all over.

I was lucky enough to have been allowed to train with and under Gummels Sensei. I would recommend all who seek Aikido knowledge to go to his dojo and enjoy his knowledge.
